Plaza Venezuela is located in the Los Caobos Urbanization in the east of the Capital District and in the geographic center of the metropolitan district of Greater Caracas. This plaza was inaugurated in 1940 and is part of the El Recreo Parish of the Libertador Municipality, which borders the Chacao and Baruta Municipalities of Miranda State. The urbanization Los Caobos is home to quintas and buildings of great architectural value. At the beginning of the 20th century, the urbanizations of East Caracas were the following: Los Caobos, La Florida, Bello Monte, Las Delicias de Sabana Grande and others. Maurice Rotival commented that the city ended in La Candelaria in 1935.
